Our client is a leading media company in Western Europe, delivering high-quality content across various platforms, including newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, websites, apps, and podcasts. Their brands reach millions of people daily, shaping the media landscape with independent and trusted journalism.

🔹 Your role

As a Backend Engineer, you will build and maintain scalable backend services that power our products and internal platforms. You will work on features end‑to‑end, from concept to deployment, with a strong focus on clean architecture, reliability, and delivering real business value. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and other engineers, you help translate product needs into robust technical solutions. You contribute to improving engineering practices within the team, mentor junior developers, and ensure high quality through automated testing and modern CI/CD workflows. Where relevant, we apply AI in our solutions and ways of working — your experience or interest in this area is highly valued.

🔹Responsibilities

• Develop and support backend services of a digital advertising platform along with supporting another platform - a rating system for linear television.

• Meet with stakeholders to identify priorities

• Enhance engineering practices

• Mentor junior developers

• Participate in automated testing for quality

• Support observability with dashboards, alerts, and tracing.

🔹Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in back-end engineering

• Skilled in Clean Code, software architecture, and design patterns

• Advanced C# and .NET framework expertise

• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB), RabbitMQ, and Redis

• Proficient in deploying services on Azure cloud

• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and agentic tools like Cursor

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, gRPC, CQRS/Mediator, fault tolerance, automated testing, and CI/CD

• Interested in or experienced with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)

• Effective problem-solver with simple, business-focused code
